In this unprecedented era of Covid/19 we have all been challenged.

LANA has have received communications from many of training programs describing their innovative approaches to providing training in the time of social distancing.

In response to these necessary adjustments to providing training for Lymphedema therapists, LANA has commissioned a job analysis survey through Prometric/SMT. In this survey we hope to answer fundamental questions regarding the current essentials of Lymphology and needs of our lymphedema therapists in providing care to patients.

Our intention in proceeding with this extremely expensive and complicated venture is to communicate closely with our training program colleagues and help guide curriculum and delivery of coursework in the future. Unfortunately, we have not yet completed this job analysis survey and indeed it will not be completed until January or February 2021. In the meantime, our original criteria for LANA examination eligibility remains in place. Namely we continue to require 135 hours of training with 1/3 study and book learning 2/3 or 90 hours of hands-on training.

LANA is very excited to announce that you are now able to schedule and sit for your exam from the safety of your home.  Working with our exam administration partner, Prometric, we have implemented a remote proctoring solution that is now available to all candidates immediately.  You will need a camera, microphone, quiet and well-lit room, and clean area if you wish to utilize this testing solution. Simply follow the registration instructions previously emailed to you and click or ask for the remote proctored option.

To prepare for your exam session you will:

• Carefully read the Remote Proctoring Regulations listed below and adjust your testing environment accordingly.

ANSI adheres to a rigorous internationally recognized ISO/IEC 17011 standard for accreditation bodies, this accreditation process ensures that the organization conforms to the highest accreditation standard and represents the best practices in accreditation.
